Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a human resources professional who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes in collaboration with our leadership group. This role will be based in our Winnipeg office but will include some responsibilities for our Victoria office as well. The HR Manager will work closely with the firm’s leadership team to promote Number TEN’s values and help maintain and shape our collaborative and team-based positive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, hiring, offer preparation, and onboarding new employees.
  • Offboarding: Provide support to leadership with employee offboarding and participate in exit meetings.
  • Employee Relations: Support leadership to foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives. Provide support to leadership for employee disciplinary discussions and participate in meetings.
  • Performance Management: Support leadership in performance appraisal systems, providing coaching and support to owners, managers and employees.
  • Training and Development: Help develop and track professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Mentorship: Assist in managing the firm’s mentorship program.
  • Compliance: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance throughout the organization in Manitoba and BC.
  • Benefits: Oversee benefits administration and provide employee support with regards to company policies, benefits, and employment standards.
  • Compensation: Work with leadership in developing compensation strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • HR Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and drive organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services or architectural/engineering firm.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
