Canad Inns Destination Centre Health Sciences Centre is the first and only hotel in Canada that is fully integrated on-site with a hospital. Located in the heart of Manitoba’s largest healthcare campus, the Winnipeg hotel is adjacent to the new Kleysen Institute for Advanced Medicine Research Centre, and only minutes from the Women’s Hospital, CancerCare Manitoba, and the University of Manitoba’s Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Medical Rehabilitation buildings. By keeping families near loved ones in care, the hotel aims to ease some of the fear and anxiety associated with a hospital visit.

The 16-storey building provides comfortable and secure lodging for patients and their loved ones, scientific researchers, and medical professionals alike. There are 191 guest rooms beyond the large sun-lit lobby entrance. A café, restaurant and eatery as well as large meeting and conference rooms are located on the main floor. To ensure a calming stay, a number of the 300-plus hotel staff acquired special training to assist guests arriving from across Manitoba, Nunavut, northwestern Ontario, and eastern Saskatchewan with their unique needs. The building also stands as a centre to advance further medical research by allowing visiting scholars a convenient place to stay, meet, and study.
