Darian McKinney and RAIC – IRAC’s Relfecting on Reconciliation: Stories from the Community

We are incredibly proud to share that our Indigenous Design Co-Lead, Darian McKinney, was featured in the RAIC – IRAC’s Reflecting on Reconciliation: Stories from the Community project. His story is a powerful reminder of the importance of lived experience, leadership, and community in shaping the future of design.
Reconciliation isn’t a destination. It’s how we work, how we listen, and how we create space for Indigenous voices. It’s recognizing that each experience is unique, and that meaningful progress requires us to continuously listen, learn, and evolve our practice.
Darian’s vision challenges us: “Developing a built environment that is of its place, responding to and with the environment around it, becoming a part of it.”
