Toba Centre for Children and Youth: Recognized for Reimagining Justice Through Design

June 18, 2025

We’re proud to share that the Toba Centre for Children and Youth has been named a recipient of the 2025 AIA Justice Facility Review Award. This award highlights architectural work that supports the justice system.

This recognition is a meaningful reminder of the role architects play in shaping how the justice space is experienced in our communities. Justice architecture challenges us to think deeply about safety, dignity, and inclusion and to design with the intention to comfort. It’s an honour to see the Toba Centre for Children and Youth acknowledged by our international peers.

– Kerry Feeney, Partner

The Toba Centre was designed and built with intention: to comfort, support, and help heal children and youth involved in the justice system. It’s a powerful reminder of how thoughtful architecture can make lives better.
