THE ARTS RESIDENCES

The Arts Residences is a comprehensive redevelopment of a 1970’s era office tower into a luxury, mixed-use residential building. The project includes 96 residential units with second floor office space and ground level retail units along the sidewalk. The podium of the building was redeveloped with a modern, urban expression and new residential entry along the north side. The pre-cast concrete façade has been re-configured with large, new windows for the residential units, sensitively incorporated to maintain the timeless expression of the tower.

The hallways on all thirteen floors of The Arts Residences are home to colourful murals that represent the thirteen moons described in the Ojibwe Lunar calendar. Curatorial Lead Jordan Stranger says, “Through the moon’s lessons, it reminds us of who we are, so we can all become better people. As these paintings work together in harmony, I hope we can all do the same.”
