Studio Overview

Number Ten is committed to delivering innovative commercial and residential solutions that are supported by our fundamental understanding of construction technology and long term building performance. Our goal is to create imaginative designs across all sectors of the commercial spectrum that are responsive to client needs, economically profitable and environmentally responsible.

Barrie Ottenbreit
Leader: Commercial and Housing Studio
Mr. Ottenbreit’s significant projects include the Nunavut Justice Centre in Iqaluit, Women's Correctional Centre and the Seasons of Tuxedo development in Winnipeg. He also has over 25 years of experience in serving First Nation communities in Manitoba and Northwest Ontario. Barrie is Past President of the Manitoba Association of Architects and has served on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House of Winnipeg.

Laurène Bachand
M.Arch., MAA, LEED® Green Associate
Originally from Quebec, Laurène joined the firm in 2014 and has quickly become a leader in the office, demonstrating a personal commitment to creative, beautiful and effective design solutions. She has consistently exhibited a thoroughness in her approach to project delivery and client service. Her versatility and aptitude for problem solving has allowed her to successfully manage a number of challenging projects from schematic design through construction administration and final occupancy.
